A trowel is a masonry tool used to rake, spread, and level mortar, cement, and other building materials. These tools can be of various types - leveling, smoothing, serrated, for corners, pointed, with a comb, etc. However, their shape always resembles a shovel, with the active working part generally being metal, and the handle usually being wooden or plastic and located at a higher level than the other component.
The trowel is traditionally in a “triple combination” with the trowel and the putty knife. These tools are used to apply and distribute various compositions on floors, walls and ceilings. In addition, they are used to smooth joints and large irregularities. The working metal plate can have different shapes (trapezoidal, rounded, triangular) and different edges - flat and serrated. The handle can be curved and softened for greater comfort when working. The active part is usually made of high-quality steel to withstand the weight of the building material being worked with. Smoothing trowels with flat edges are used to level building mixtures. One of the most popular varieties of trowels are smoothing models and models for internal and external corners. When laying porcelain, faience and terracotta tiles using the thin-layer method, the adhesive solution is spread with a smooth trowel and then grooved with a notched trowel.

WHICH TROWEL SHOULD WE CHOOSE?

The most common trowels in our country are mainly of two types: a trowel with a rounded tip and a "cut" trowel, in which the tip is beveled. The older and traditional model is the rounded trowel, which varies in different sizes. It is used for applying mortar, lime, lime-cement mortars, etc., as well as for a number of other activities related to cleaning, scraping, mixing and smoothing all kinds of construction mortars. With the advent of innovative construction putties and plasters, "cut" trowels have also gained popularity, allowing for even more precise work.
The most important quality of a trowel is its strength. A good trowel should have a comfortable handle, firmly attached to the metal plate, which in turn should have a certain hardness and wear resistance.
In general, trowels with a rounded tip are used for rougher masonry work, while "notched" ones are for finer finishing work.

WHAT DO WE OFFER?

We offer you trowels of both main types - with a rounded tip and "cut". You will also find variety in the sizes of the models. The active working part of all trowels is made of high-quality stainless steel, and the handles are plastic. The "weld" between the two main elements is made extremely reliably, which guarantees complete comfort when using the masonry tools.
We have a whole series of PIK TOOLS brand, provoking consumer interest with the fact that the trowels are coated with INOX, which increases their quality of work and durability. Along with this, the design of the tool looks more aesthetic.
In this group, we have also trusted the manufacturers from TOPMASTER, whose products have actively established themselves on the market in recent years thanks to the combination of high quality and affordable prices.
