The correct and reliable fastening of materials is one of the important prerequisites for maintaining the quality and durability of the structures in which they participate. In this regard, the tacker is one of the most important tools. Its advantages are in the simple scheme of operation, reliability and relatively low price.

WHAT IS THE TACKER FOR?

Tackers are a very useful and convenient tool, intended both in carpentry and upholstery, and in many other fields. With its help, you can quickly hammer nails, upholster furniture with fabric or other coverings, attach cables to walls, fix carpet and linoleum. Tackers are also used for many different decorating works outside and inside the home - attaching wall coverings (textile wallpapers, insulation materials, etc.), attaching paper or foil (posters), attaching softwood and boards (bottoms, chipboard backs of cabinets, etc.), installing flags, installing roofing materials.

TYPES OF TAKERS

There are three types of tackers: mechanical /manual/, electric and pneumatic. This group includes mechanical and electric models, while pneumatic models can be found in the Pneumatics product group.
The working element of mechanical tackers is a flat spring. Thanks to its use and the placement of a special polyurethane pad, recoil and noise when driving are reduced. This design solution makes the tools extremely powerful, easy to adjust and reliable in operation, and due to its high fatigue resistance, the flat working spring gives mechanical tackers remarkable durability.
Mechanical tackers for fastening low-voltage cables have special guides that allow the staple to be placed on the conductor without damaging it. In addition to reducing noise and recoil during operation, the polyurethane pad also protects the mechanical system (including the flat spring) from premature wear. The guide of the working spring ensures uniform staple feed and simultaneous entry of both legs into the material. An internal slot limits the working stroke of the striker and protects the conductor from damage due to compression by the staple.
With electric tackers, you can quickly and conveniently fasten various materials such as fabrics, cardboard and foil. This means that you can fasten upholstery to the seating surface of a chair or armchair in just a few minutes.

WHICH TACKER MODEL SHOULD WE CHOOSE?

An important factor in choosing a tacker is the frequency of use. If you are going to use it every day, don't compromise on the price – get a more expensive, but more reliable and convenient model. If you are also going to use it for a long time, then opt for an electric one, as a mechanical one will require a lot of physical effort.
Electric tackers improve work productivity. In addition, when using them, a person does not waste any physical strength. Their only disadvantage compared to other types is their dependence on an electrical power source and the inconvenience of cables.
