Like all subcategories, "Other Hand Tools" is quite diverse in terms of the products we have included in it, starting from the model knife to the drill stand.
The product group includes a huge variety of small and larger plumbing tools that can be of help to any professional or home craftsman. Some of the products are bars, awls, machine stands, plumbing cutters, pliers, vacuum clamps, lines, angles, rulers, riveters and many other auxiliary tools and supplies. The group also includes good prices for lathes, thread cutting dies, plumb lines, handles for electric drills, vices, extractors and many others.
Let's take a look at some of the larger hand tools, how they are used, and the benefits they provide.

DRILL STANDS

The drill stand is a sturdy construction with a cast iron stand for attaching a vice. Easily portable and compact, the stand is
designed to work with all models of drills with a body neck diameter of 43 mm, weight about 3 kg and power up to 1010W. The stable construction does not allow the material to "run" during processing, i.e. it does not allow movement and lateral play.

THREADS

Rivets are used for reliable joining of sheet metal, various thin-walled structures and metal profiles. In our nomenclature, the professional lever riveter and the pop riveter with a rotating head stand out with their high quality.
And when it comes to riveters, it will not be superfluous to provide clarifications about riveting itself. Riveting is a classic way of cold joining flat metal elements into a non-detachable joint. It has been a widely used method since metals were processed entirely "hot". Now riveting is also performed at home and remains the most effective way of joining when it comes to plates, sheets and other thin metal parts.
The classic rivet consists of a shaft with a round head. It is made of mild steel or another malleable alloy. Riveting requires access to both sides of the elements being joined. Rivets are used in steel, brass or aluminum, depending on the type of metal being joined.
Types of rivets:
- Steel rivets: these are longer (up to 80 mm) and allow the connected system to be thicker. They are used when a classic or decorative effect is sought.
- Aluminum rivets with washer: they are smaller in diameter and length, come with a round or countersunk head and are equipped with a washer that ensures the strength of the riveting. Countersunk head rivets are more discreet.
- Copper rivets with round or countersunk heads and washers: they are made with different diameters, lengths and head sizes.
- Pop rivets /blind rivets/: in these, the connection of the two elements is carried out by a metal axis, which is "crushed" at both ends and forms heads. The two metal plates that we want to join are fixed between them. They are intended to be used "blindly", i.e. without having access to the back of the element.
Blind rivets are manufactured in different diameters, lengths and head sizes. They consist of a body and a ring-shaped head made of a malleable alloy and a shaft, one end of which is thicker. When they are inserted, pressure is applied to the thick end, which penetrates the body, spreads the material and thus forms a second head, completing the riveting. The shaft of the rivet breaks automatically, and the rivet remains in place.

MASONRY SHANK

An interesting offer in this product group is the bricklaying sled from the WIENERBERGER brand. The Bulgarian website of the Austrian company states that, defining building materials as only one of the necessary elements to achieve a final quality result, WIENERBERGER has always strived to offer more. Taking one step forward, the manufacturer offers a tool that will increase the speed of wall construction and guarantee a quality final result.
The WIENERBERGER mortar slide facilitates the dosing and distribution of the mortar in two strips, as required for the Porotherm 25 N+F Light block. This avoids over-consumption of mortar.
The sled has a stable construction, is made of thick steel sheet and is powder-coated, which guarantees its long life and easy cleaning. The tool is a template, with the help of which the laid solution is shaped in the two strips, taking into account the cavities of the block and the required thickness. By sliding the sled, the master gradually covers the entire length of the wall. Thus, the uniform spreading facilitates the arrangement of the blocks and significantly increases the speed of construction.
The optimal amount of mortar ensures cleanliness during work, a good appearance of the finished wall and minimizes additional efforts to level each individual block in the horizontal direction. The tool doses the required mortar, ensuring the necessary thickness for a secure and strong connection between the blocks and preventing waste. The minimum length of the wall to
this tool can be used is 95 cm.
Thanks to its solid experience and innovation in wall solutions, WIENERBERGER focuses on the benefits of its products for the user and on protecting the environment.
