In this product group, we offer special-purpose light bulbs. They are mainly used for lighting in manufacturing factories, warehouses, ships, specific street lighting, aquarium lighting, and more.

WHAT IS A METAL HALOGEN LAMP?

A metal halide lamp is an electrical lighting fixture that generates light by an electric arc discharge in a mixture of mercury vapor and metal halides (compounds of metals with bromine or iodine). They are similar to mercury lamps, but contain additional metal compounds in the arc tube that improve the efficiency and color rendering (whiteness) of the light. Metal halide lamps have a high luminous efficacy - about 75-100 lumens per watt, which is about twice the efficiency of mercury lamps and 3 to 5 times more than incandescent lamps. Metal halide lamps also have a moderately long life (from 6,000 to 15,000 hours, slightly shorter than that of mercury lamps) and emit an intense white light.
As one of the most efficient sources of CRI white light, metal halide lamps are one of the fastest growing products in the lighting industry. They are used to illuminate large areas in commercial, industrial and public buildings such as parking lots, sports fields, factories and shops, etc. The lamp consists of a small quartz or ceramic arc discharge tube that contains gases and a discharger and is enclosed in a larger glass bulb. Inside this larger bulb is a coating that serves to filter the ultraviolet light generated. Like other high-efficiency discharge lamps, they operate under high pressure (4-20 atmospheres) and require special fixtures for their safe operation, as well as an electrical ballast. They also require a warm-up period of several minutes to reach their maximum light intensity, so they are not usually used for residential room lighting that is turned on and off frequently.

WHAT IS A SODIUM PRESSURE LAMP?

A sodium lamp is a gas-discharge lamp that uses the excited state of sodium to generate light. There are two types of this type of lamp, depending on their operating pressure: low-pressure and high-pressure. Low-pressure sodium lamps are the most efficient electric light sources, but their yellow light has limited use in outdoor lighting, such as street lamps. High-pressure sodium lamps have a wider light spectrum but poorer color rendering than other types of lamps. Because sodium lamps cause less light pollution than mercury lamps, they are preferred for street lighting.

WHAT IS THE INFRARED LAMP FOR?

The infrared lamp is preferred because of the comfortable warmth that is emitted by the infrared rays. This lamp is used when raising newborn animals and especially small chickens. The heat of the infrared lamp resembles a sunbeam and penetrates deep into the skin, increasing blood circulation, stimulating muscles and strengthening the fragile organism. When the muscles calm down, they naturally relax and move. The heat makes the tissues more pliable and thus reduces the stiffness of the bones and makes them more flexible. The infrared lamp also has the ability to destroy viruses, which helps in the problem-free raising of small animals.
