In this product group, you can find electronic ballasts for fluorescent lamps and electronic transformers.
ELECTRONIC BALLASTS /CHOKE/ AND ELECTRONIC TRANSFORMERS
The high-frequency electronic ballast is a device that provides optimal starting and operating mode of fluorescent lamps. It is small in size, lightweight, silent and leads to an increase in the service life of the fluorescent lamp by 30% - 50%.
The advantages of luminaires with high-frequency electronic ballast are as follows:
- Significant electricity savings are achieved depending on the type of installation;
- Longer life of fluorescent tubes /up to 2 times/ compared to the ones commonly used;
- Stable output for the entire life of the light source;
- Lack of stroboscopic effect with single-phase power supply;
- No irritating flickering when starting, absolute silence, negligible ripple coefficient and ensuring visual comfort.
Electronic transformers are used to power 12 volt halogen lamps. These devices have two parallel outputs for proper load distribution when switching on more lamps. They are equipped with overload and short circuit protection at the output. The transformers are adjustable and can be used in the presence of a dimmer.
ADVANTAGES OF ELECTRONIC BALLAST AND ELECTRONIC TRANSFORMER
Thanks to the compensating effect of the electronic ballast, the luminous flux of the tubes does not decrease by more than 5% throughout their lifetime. This makes it possible to reduce the margin factor when calculating new lighting systems.
High-frequency control of fluorescent lamps eliminates unpleasant flickering when turned on. There is no stroboscopic effect with single-phase power supply, which simplifies electrical installation. Due to the low ripple coefficient, the lighting is very suitable for computer rooms, hospitals and rooms for intensive mental work.
The advantages of electronic transformers over conventional ones are as follows:
- Smaller in size and lighter in weight;
- Lower operating temperature;
- The output voltage is almost unaffected by the input voltage;
- The output voltage is not affected by the load;
- Slower voltage increase at start-up/soft start/.
These advantages lead to longer lamp life.
Transformers are available in several capacities:
- From 20W to 70W: 3 lamps of 20W each can be turned on; 2 lamps of 35W each or 1 lamp of 50W each;
- From 35W to 105W: 5 lamps of 20 W each can be turned on; 3 lamps of 35 W each or 2 lamps of 50 W each;
- From 50W to 160W: 8 lamps of 20W each can be switched on; 4 lamps of 35W each or 3 lamps of 50W each.
