The high-volume water heater, also called an accumulation water heater, serves every household. Its role as the protagonist in the bathroom makes its choice strategically important. The optimal model in terms of price and quality is a hit in the top ten.
First of all, you should be aware that the choice of a water heater is determined by your needs, not by the shape, brand, price and warranty. Before you make a purchase, you should answer one very important question - will the device be turned on continuously or immediately before use. This difference is essential because it will determine the power of the heater, the thermal insulation of the water tank and its volume. With a continuously turned on water heater, the most loaded part of it is its thermostat, so you will need a more powerful one. When heating the water immediately, pay attention to the tank.
Volumetric water heaters require more time to initially heat the water. In them, the water retains its temperature for a long time due to good insulation.
The space you have available for a high-volume water heater is also important when choosing a water heater. Manufacturers offer units that can be installed vertically or horizontally. Before buying, determine the space the water heater will take up in the bathroom.
All models have highly efficient thermal insulation, which guarantees minimal heat loss. There are no compromises in protection, they are among the most reliable in the name of complete safety. Models with anti-freeze device are especially suitable for owners of houses and villas who do not live in them permanently in the winter, but visit them periodically.
HIGH-VOLUME BOILERS ARE SAFE AND SECURE
It is believed that storage water heaters are dangerous to install in the home. With the development of technology in the manufacture of water heaters, this is no longer the case. And in this group, the water heaters are mainly of brands such as ELDOM and TESY, which provide solid guarantees of safety.
Usually, the cause of incidents with exploding water heaters is related to the lack of protection or poor repair by self-taught impostors. The water heater is an electrical appliance that operates under high pressure. This requires a more responsible attitude when choosing and operating it. Customer safety is of paramount importance for the manufacturers of ELDOM water heaters, which occupy a large part of our nomenclature. The models have numerous precise protections: from excessive pressure, from overheating, from freezing, from corrosion, from limescale buildup, from leakage, from electric current leaks, from deviations in electrical voltage. ELDOM water heaters have a unique 6-stage protection, which includes:
- autonomous capillary thermostat with probe, allowing external temperature regulation
- independent capillary thermal switch
- elliptical flange with a specific design, ELDOMINVEST's own know-how
- safety valve
- check valve
- differential valve
The last three are assembled into a combined metal valve.
These protections are not unnecessary extras. They guarantee the security of the device.
TESY models, which are another large part of our offerings, are also made with a high degree of safety.
TIPS FOR OPERATING HIGH-VOLUME BOILERS:
- Experts advise periodically purging the combined valve of the water heater. This is done by lifting the lever until a thick stream of water flows from the side opening of the valve for 30-60 seconds. This operation is mandatory after the water heater is connected to the water supply and filled, and then it is good to repeat it at least once every 14 days, as well as after each stop of the water supply.
- When choosing a water heater, pay special attention to the quality of the water tank material - enameled or stainless steel. The service life of the entire water heater depends on the material of the tank. The devices also differ in the coating of the water tank. Some containers are enameled, with a glass-ceramic coating, others are made of stainless steel. The advantages of enameled water heaters are that the coating is chemically neutral and does not interact with water and its components (limestone, scale), and the quartz in the enamel guarantees the preservation of water purity. The stainless steel water tank has other advantages - these water heaters have a longer life and are more resistant to corrosion and deformation.
- Water hardness is also important. Check it before choosing a water heater model for your home.
- When it comes to trouble-free installation of the water heater, it is best to turn to professionals. The same applies to repairs.
