The dishwasher is no longer a luxury, but an economical, smart and convenient choice. Until recently, this machine had not entered households en masse, but this is gradually changing and the time will not be far off when it will fall into the "first necessity" column. Simply because it is a great convenience and saves not only effort and time, but also money. For example, it has been calculated that a housewife of a 4-member family saves about 200 man-hours of labor per year compared to washing by hand. This is equivalent to an 8-day additional vacation. In addition, about 8 cubic meters of water are saved annually plus the costs of heating it. Which means that dishwashers are also environmentally friendly.
When we use the dishwasher, the quality of machine washing is incomparable to hand washing. This is because of the high temperature and special detergents.
In the machine, you can wash not only cutlery, glasses and plates, but also pots, trays, refrigerator shelves, grills and oven racks, metal hood filters, colanders and sieves, vases and many other items.
WHAT TO CONSIDER WHEN CHOOSING A DISHWASHER?
There are several main factors to consider when choosing a dishwasher:
1. Consider the budget you have set aside for the purchase of a dishwasher and the installation location. Do not underestimate the fact that the dishwasher should be positioned correctly. The installation and requirements for a dishwasher are almost the same as for a washing machine. For installation in the kitchen, you need to provide a water supply and a drain (as for a washing machine). It is best to have it close to the washing machine - then you can get by with just a double tap and a Y-shaped branch of the drain.
2. Consider what capacity you need (family members, intensity of dish use). One of the main characteristics of all dishwashers is the Washing Capacity, or how many sets of kitchen utensils the dishwasher can wash in one load.
3. Be sure to pay attention to the energy class and dishwashing programs. These two factors affect your water and electricity bills. High-quality dishwashers from the high end can be of the highest energy efficiency class and at the same time offer over 7 different dishwashing programs.
4. Almost all tableware and cutlery are now made of special materials and have a coating that allows them to be placed in a dishwasher. Make sure yours are exactly that, otherwise your glasses, plates and cutlery can be damaged due to scratches.
SOME USEFUL TIPS FOR USING A DISHWASHER:
- Do not wash aluminum or copper dishes, as well as utensils with wooden parts. Stainless steel, glass and porcelain are best suited for washing in a dishwasher. Plastic dishes and parts should be placed with caution.
- Rinse dishes and cutlery before placing in the dishwasher.
- Do not stack utensils on top of each other.
Arranging the dishwasher is not a big philosophy, but it still requires practice. Bowls and deep dishes are placed with the bottom down and should not be piled on top of each other, because the jet will not be able to reach all the dirty areas. Also, pans, pots and larger dishes should not be at the front, so as not to prevent the detergent from reaching the inside of the dishwasher.
- Check the fin.
You can see this rule for yourself after you have been surprised several times to find the dishes dirty after the dishwasher program has finished. This can happen because a fork or knife has prevented the impeller that sprays water from rotating freely.
- Be careful with the temperature.
Setting the right program is very important for good dish care. The temperature for heavily soiled greasy pots is one, and for glass cups and dishes - a completely different one.
The dishwashers that you can find with us differ significantly in their dimensions, since the free spaces in the kitchens also vary. The differences also manifest themselves in the number of washing programs, energy efficiency and of course the capacity of the sets that the dishwasher can accommodate.
