CNAUF gypsum fiber boards are made from high-quality baked gypsum and cellulose fibers from selected types of waste paper, which are mixed into a homogeneous mixture. Gypsum fiber boards have high density and strength, making them suitable for high-quality solutions in almost all areas of drywall construction.
ADVANTAGES OF GYPSUM PLASTER BOARDS
Gypsum fiberboard panels have the following advantages:
- Homogeneous
- With high strength in both directions
- With high density from 1100 to 1400 kg/m3
- Non-combustible A1 or A2-s1
WHAT CAN GYPSUM BE USED FOR?
Gypsum fiberboards are an excellent choice for the following areas of drywall construction:
- Exterior and interior walls
- Dry floors
- Construction with wood
- Fire protection and sound insulation systems in buildings with a large concentration of people
APPLICATION FOR INTERIOR PARTITION WALLS
Interior walls with gypsum fiber boards have all the advantages of drywall: quick and easy installation, low dead weight, small thickness. They are distinguished from other drywall systems by their complex high construction and physical parameters.
Advantages:
- Excellent sound insulation
- Impact resistance
- Tested fire protection
- Tested permissible wall heights
FACADE WALL APPLICATION
The facade walls of the W333 system are thinner, lighter and faster to build than masonry walls. The multilayer optimized structure allows for higher insulation performance. The construction of standard stud profiles is sized depending on the geometric features of the building and its location. The cladding on the outside is made of Vidiwall HI boards with a thickness of 12.5 or 15 mm and subsequently a facade thermal insulation system. The dowels are fixed directly into the gypsum fiber board. The cladding on the inside is made of gypsum boards with a vapor barrier.
Advantages:
- Excellent thermal insulation
- Certified soundproofing
- Certified fire protection
- About 2% more usable area due to the smaller wall thickness
- Short lead times
- Less weight of the building
- Various facade design options
APPLICATION FOR WOODEN BUILDINGS
Modern wood construction is energy-efficient, high-tech and sustainable, so it is no coincidence that it occupies an increasingly large share of newly constructed buildings. Gypsum fiberboards are the universal material for cladding panels with a wooden structure - they strengthen the structure and protect it from fire. Thanks to them, diagonal bracing, which is used for horizontal support, can be eliminated.
Advantages:
- They are perfectly compatible with wood
- They take loads
- Provide fire protection
- Increase seismic resistance
- Ensure a healthy microclimate in the rooms
DRY FLOOR APPLICATION
Dry floors are floor coverings made of Vidifloor gypsum fiber boards, which are laid on a floor structure. Irregularities in the floor structure are leveled with a thin-layer screed or dry screed. An additional insulating layer of rock wool, wood fiber boards or polystyrene can be placed under the gypsum fiber boards.
Dry floors are a floating floor covering. They are made of one layer of gypsum fiber boards - Vidifloor SOLO with gluing in the rebate area or of two layers - Vidifloor DUO - 2x10 mm or 2x12.5 mm with gluing over the entire surface. They are very suitable for residential buildings, hotels, public buildings.
Advantages:
- Improves impact noise insulation by 19-26 dB
- Light weight
- Quick installation
- Small construction height
- No drying time unlike screed floors
HOW ARE GYPSUM PLASTERBOARDS INSTALLED?
- Cutting
Gypsum boards up to 12.5 mm thick are cut with a miter saw and broken through the edge of the support. The broken edge can be aligned with a face plane and cleaned of dust (this is especially necessary when laying with an open or glued joint). Clean edges can be achieved with a jigsaw or circular saw.
- Fastening means
For fastening Vidiwall boards, appropriate means must be used depending on the main supporting structure. The boards are installed with screws, nails, staples. Fastening to wooden structures is done with nails or staples (DIN 1052), galvanized or with another anti-corrosion coating. It is possible to fasten one board to another with staples in the case of two-layer cladding. The boards are fastened to a metal or wooden structure with rapid screws (DIN 1052/EN 14566).
HOW ARE GYPSUM PLASTER BOARDS STORED?
Gypsum fiberboards are stored lying down on wooden pallets or strips of board in dry rooms, protected from moisture.
