In the Water Meters product group you will find those for the most widespread domestic use, which are designed for hot and cold water. You will find different models, with different inches, with the possibility of vertical and horizontal installation. The water meters are of dry type, with a roller counter and a plastic housing. They have high accuracy and sensitivity of measurement, as well as several protections against misuse. They have high antimagnetic protection, exceeding the EU requirements many times over.
In the product group you will also find sets of union nuts for connecting and installing water meters. The water meters are manufactured by the brands BONEGA and BELASITSA.
TYPES OF WATER METERS
A water meter is a device that measures the amount of water passing through it. It is most often used to determine the water consumed by a household, cooperative or institution. The most widely used water meters are those that are read by an employee of the water supply company. These water meters are an iron cylindrical body with glass on top. Under the glass are numbers or arrows that indicate the water consumed.
There are several types of water meters, the most popular of which are volumetric, velocity and partial. For building plumbing installations, velocity water meters are used. They can be single-jet and multi-jet, which in turn are divided into dry and wet type water meters.
In a wet type water meter, the transmission and counting mechanism are immersed in water under pressure and therefore it is covered with thick glass. In a dry type water meter, only the transmission mechanism is under water, and the counting mechanism is in the dry part of the water meter housing.
The water consumed is measured by the water meter on the water supply branch. In condominium buildings, the water consumed is measured by the common water meter on the water supply branch and is distributed among the users in the building based on the readings on their individual water meters.
The delivery, installation, inspection, maintenance and repair of common water meters are the responsibility of the water and sewerage operator.
The delivery, installation, inspection, maintenance and repair of individual water meters are the responsibility of the consumers.
All water meters used must be of a type approved by the State Agency for Metrology and Technical Supervision (SATTS) and meet the requirements of the Measurements Act (MA).
