Latex paints are one of the most widely used paints. Latexes are increasingly used in painting practice, because when applied to ceilings, walls and other surfaces, they form coatings that are resistant to mechanical and atmospheric influences, do not disrupt the "breathing" of the walls and can be applied to any base.
In addition to regular white latex , our range also includes latex for wet rooms , latex with silver ions , ecological paints , and insulating paints .
In the White Latex product group, you will find products from proven brands and manufacturers in the industry - COLORLAK, DEKORATOR , AQUIS, PRAKTIKA, VECTOR, ORGACHIM, CAPAROL, KRAFT, LEVIS, BORO, CM2, etc.
WHITE LATEX - TYPES, QUALITIES AND CHARACTERISTICS
One of the advantages of latex, as well as one of the main reasons why it is preferred by customers, is that it contains water as a solvent. Latexes can also be diluted with it, which, of course, is at the expense of the color saturation (if the latex is colored). Latexes are safe for the health of those working with them, do not emit harmful fumes and do not pollute the environment. Latex paint coatings allow varnishing and direct painting. Latex paints can be easily washed after preservation with water and detergent, and it is especially important that they are not fire hazardous.
White latex coating is temperature sensitive and cures slowly to the point where it is not affected by moisture. Once cured properly, white latex coated walls and ceilings do not crack and the surface literally breathes, allowing moisture trapped in the walls to completely evaporate through the porous surface.
The white latex that you will find in the product group is in different sizes for the convenience of the customer. The products are also in different price classes to please different consumer abilities and preferences.
PRACTICAL TIPS FOR APPLYING WHITE LATEX
In order to be as useful as possible to the client, we will also allow ourselves some practical advice. Regardless of the base on which you will apply the latex (putty, latex, lean paint), you must treat the walls and ceilings with a primer - which you can find in the Primers product group. This is necessary for better adhesion and better coverage. After you have treated the walls and ceilings with a primer and dusted them, start preparing for painting the ceiling. Cover the furniture and floor with nylons, pour some latex into the tray, wring out the roller well before lifting it to the ceiling so that it does not flow on you and start painting from left to right. Go over the ceiling at least twice with white or colored latex so that it does not show through from the first coat and covers well. If there are any plaster ornaments on the ceiling, you can paint them in the color of the latex intended for the walls. This is done with a thin paint brush or a drawing brush (you can find such in our product group Paint and Varnishing Tools ). The ornaments will stand out and you will introduce a motif from the color of the walls and ceiling, which is a good and interesting interior solution.
After painting the ceiling with the first coat, wait for it to dry and go over it a second time. If the color of the walls will be different, wash the roller and the tray, dry the roller from the water as much as possible and you are ready to continue with the walls. Before starting painting, cut off the edges of the walls with paper tape so as not to apply latex to the white ceiling. If you have purchased colored latex, you can directly pour a small amount into the tray and start applying it. If you have purchased latex and colorant, put the amount of colorant into the white latex and mix until a uniform mixture is obtained. You can lightly paint a small area of the wall to get an idea of what the color will be (maybe on white cardboard). After you have poured a small amount of latex into the tray, you can start painting. The application is done from top to bottom because of the drops that flow from left to right. Apply the latex evenly, it will dry faster and you won't have to worry about it cracking and peeling with the second coat (the primer also prevents this). Once you've finished applying the first coat of latex, you can use a brush to paint the areas that are hard to reach with the roller. Wait for it to dry before applying a second coat (and a third, if necessary).
Once the latex is completely dry, carefully remove the masking tape. If there are any areas that haven't been painted well, you can go over them with the thin brush. Repeat if necessary and you're done.
