Despite the introduction of more and more new materials, paints remain one of the most commonly used products for shaping the final appearance of the facade and its protection. Their application remains as wide and preferred.
The design of the facade plays an extremely important role in the perception of the building. Therefore, the choice of facade paint should be approached very seriously. It is necessary to take into account a number of factors and their mutual influence - characteristics of the base, environmental factors, climatic conditions, composition and properties of paints, economic considerations, etc. Only then can the facade paint fulfill all its functions, namely: to give the building the necessary aesthetic appearance, to protect the facade from adverse effects and to remain unchanged for as long as possible. This also means achieving the greatest possible economic effect from the investment.
When producing facade paints, their multifunctional role is taken into account. They aim not only to give the treated surface a certain look and color, but also to protect it from external adverse effects.
For the convenience of the customer, in the product group White facade paints you can find facade paints in a wide range of sizes and prices. All offered products are manufactured by proven brands in the industry XPERT, AQUIS, BORO, VEKTOR, etc.
WHITE FAÇADE PAINTS - CHARACTERISTICS AND DURABILITY
With us you can find facade paints with silicone , acrylate paints , relief paints and decorative coatings .
White facade paints must withstand winter cold and summer heat, be resistant to rain, snow, ultraviolet rays and not be affected even by abrasive treatment. In addition, facade paints for mineral surfaces must meet two completely opposite requirements - they must allow water vapor from the inside of the wall to the outside and at the same time prevent water from the outside of the wall from penetrating inside. When the paint meets these conditions, it is said to be vapor-permeable and waterproof.
The durability of the paint largely depends on its operational properties. One of these properties is light resistance, i.e. the material retains its color when exposed to sunlight and, in particular, ultraviolet radiation. Another important property of white facade paints is their ability to "breathe", i.e. to let water vapor through. For mineral facades, it is extremely important that the paint is vapor-permeable. Otherwise, moisture will remain in the wall, under the influence of which destruction will begin.
Equally important is the resistance of the paint to mechanical impacts - chipping, scratching, abrasion and impact. This property is determined by the adhesive characteristics of the paint and the strength of the coating itself. Acrylic-based paints, for example, are characterized by high resistance to abrasion and impact and are therefore recommended for concrete and plastered surfaces.
The satisfactory results of a given facade paint also depend on its weather resistance. This is the property of paint coatings to resist not only the destructive effect of sunlight, but also large amplitudes in temperature and humidity, rain, snow, wind. On this basis, specialists divide paints into weather-resistant and limited weather-resistant. Thus, paints from the first group are suitable for facades, and those from the second group - for interiors.
Facade paints must also be resistant to dirt and washing. As a rule, the thicker the coating, the more resistant it is to dirt.
Also pay attention to the time it takes for the coating to dry. The shorter it is, the less likely it is that changes in external conditions will spoil the result of the painting. However, this does not mean that conditions should be created for almost instant drying of the paints. The process should last as long as necessary for the coating to be obtained with the required properties. If the drying time is artificially shortened, the paint film receives greater stress and cracks.
WHITE FAÇADE PAINTS - PROPERTIES AND METHODS OF PROCESSING
No less important when choosing facade paints are their decorative properties. One of them is the reflectivity - the property of the coating to reflect the light falling on it. The greater it is, the better the resistance of the paint to light. Another important decorative property of facade paints is the possibility of tinting.
Facade paints are usually used in primer systems or when a new coat of paint needs to be applied over an old one. When using multiple products, it is important that they are from the same manufacturer and from the same system designed for the specific application. This ensures compatibility between the products and good performance.
Before applying the paint, assess the strength of the base. If it is crumbling or has old, peeling paint, the base is cleaned and primed to be stable enough and to equalize its absorption capacity to the paint over its entire surface. It is a good idea to assess whether there is any residual moisture in the volume of the wall, because it would prevent a good coating. Before painting, everything must be dry. Another important condition for a good appearance of the facade is to clean the base of mold or signs of salt crystallization, if any, before painting and even before priming.
