Don't look at the tablecloth as something you serve the dishes on. It is much more than that and has a life of its own. When chosen correctly, it transforms the room, brings atmosphere and comfort, style and class, a cheerful mood and is an extremely important element of the interior.
We can divide tablecloths into two groups: interior and table.
The first type is traditionally knitted, embroidered, jacquard or printed, but is rarely used in the modern home. In tablecloths, the variety in materials, colors and patterns is enormous. In modern serving, usually a second, smaller tablecloth is placed on top of the large tablecloth, which is selected in tone as the napkins. Additional chic to the table setting is added by the beautiful folding of starched napkins.
The shape of the tablecloth depends on the shape of the table. Both round and square tablecloths are suitable for a round table. The standard rule for the size of the tablecloth for a rectangular or square table is that the hanging part of the tablecloth should be about 40 cm and be the same on all sides. For round tables, the hanging part is slightly shorter - about 30 cm. This is because with this type of furniture the tablecloth is easier to pull off and the aim is not to be inadvertently covered.
The more formal the occasion, the longer the hanging part of the tablecloth becomes. Some even prefer the tablecloth to reach the ground.
For everyday use, many households use tablecloths made of polyester - a waterproof material that is easy to maintain and does not retain stains.
Tablecloths made from a blend of polyester and cotton are also very popular, as they are easy to wash and dry, do not require ironing, and do not retain stains.
These two types of tablecloths are the most widely represented in our range. We offer them in various sizes and patterns to provide you with a wide range of choices.
We also offer tablecloths made of 25% bamboo, 20% viscose and 55% polyester. Bamboo fibers make the fabric silky soft and very durable.
