Plumbing pipes are an inconspicuous but extremely important part of home equipment.
Not only the comfort, but also the safety of the home depends on the quality of the water pipes, their installation method, and the route of the plumbing installation. If you are planning a home renovation and the pipes have not been replaced recently, or you suspect poor-quality connections, incorrect slope, or even the risk of a leak, it is better to buy peace of mind and safety - replace the plumbing pipes.
In the manufacture of water pipes, plastic has already replaced metal. Plastic pipes are of different types depending on the type of material. Accordingly, they have different characteristics and are used for different purposes.
Plastic pipes are the most preferred for home plumbing. There are many reasons that support this fact. Plastic pipes are more hygienic than galvanized ones, do not contain harmful impurities, do not change the taste and smell of water, are easy to install and are many times cheaper than other metal options. In addition to PPR Pipes and Fittings, in the product group you will also find Stopcocks, Ball Valves, as well as small parts such as clamps and plugs.

WHAT TYPE ARE THE PLASTIC PIPES?

This is a question that every non-professional who dares to take care of home repairs asks himself. Depending on the type of plastic and the method of production, some plastic pipes should only be used for cold water, while others can safely be placed in the path of hot water.
Experts divide plastic pipes into two main groups - thermoplastic and reaction-resistant . Polyethylene pipes, for example, are elastic and unbreakable, but soften when heated. Polypropylene (PP), on the contrary, are not so elastic, but are resistant to high temperatures. That is why they are preferred for water supply and sewage systems.

POLYPROPYLENE /PPR/ PIPES

Polypropylene pipes are made of plastic, but using a special technology. What is specific about them is that they consist of two pipes, welded seamlessly at the molecular level thanks to a specific production method. In them, the inner pipe is smooth and the outer one is corrugated.
These pipes have very high resistance characteristics. They withstand high loads and are therefore widely used in sewage systems. Polypropylene, compared to polyethylene, is lighter, has a large range of stretching and is more heat resistant, its operating temperature range is from -20 to +110°C. This allows them to be installed both at negative temperatures and to be operated at increased positive temperatures. Polypropylene is also more impact resistant than polyethylene. PPR pipes have 100% corrosion resistance - they do not rust or rot. Their smooth inner wall does not allow deposits.
These pipes are significantly lighter than metal ones, their weight is 7 to 9 times lower than a similar metal pipeline.

POLYPROPYLENE /PPR/ FITTINGS

In the product group PPR Pipes and Fittings you will find a wide variety of PPR pipes with a wide variation in diameter and thickness, which fully covers consumer demand. Of course, we have also taken into account the fact that it is important that the fittings you use are made of the same material as the pipes. That is why our fittings are made of polypropylene. They are used to seal the pipeline and where its branches and transitions to other pipes are. Polypropylene fittings have become widespread in everyday life, the main reason for this is their flexibility, efficiency, excellent performance and low price.
Fittings can be divided according to the purposes for which they will be used:
- Elbows and bends are applied when the direction of the pipe changes;
- T-shaped and collectors provide the deviation from the main pipe;
- Transitions divert pipes in two directions;
- The couplings connect two pipes of the same diameter;
- Adapters are suitable for various connection methods;
- Pipe end fittings seal the pipe hermetically.
You can find all the necessary polypropylene fittings with us in an extremely diverse range of parameters.
