Description
Caparol AmphiSilan-Plus is a high-tech facade paint of a new generation, designed to combine the best of both worlds - classic mineral coatings and modern dispersion technologies. Thanks to its innovative formula with silicone resins, the product provides both high water repellency and excellent vapor permeability, which allows facades to "breathe", while protecting them from moisture and weathering.
The paint is part of the Caparol Clean concept and is distinguished by a photocatalytic effect, which actively breaks down pollutants from the air and keeps facades clean and fresh for longer. The combination of microporous structure, high CO₂ permeability and resistance to atmospheric pollutants makes it extremely suitable for both new construction and restoration of historic buildings or renovated sites.
AmphiSilan-Plus is applied on a variety of substrates - from classic lime-cement plasters to thermal insulation systems, and offers exceptional durability, low tendency to contamination and excellent resistance over time. This is the smart choice for anyone looking for a reliable and sustainable facade solution, combining high technical efficiency with aesthetic perfection.
Application - suitable for exterior painting of new and old mineral plasters, as well as for renovated facades and historic buildings
Substrate preparation - the substrate must be dry, stable, free of dust and loose particles. The choice of primer depends on the type of substrate:
- New or old thermal insulation systems - wet cleaning, drying time, primer OptiSilan TiefGrund or CapaGrund Universal
- Mineral plasters (P Ic, P II, P III) - waiting for drying (2 weeks), if necessary CapaGrund Universal
- Old silicate or dispersion paints - cleaning, removal of unstable areas, primer Dupa-Putzfestiger
- Weakly load-bearing or chalking surfaces - complete removal, followed by primer
- Brickwork and limestone - only for stable masonry, joints free of salts and cracks, primer Dupa-Putzfestiger
- Surfaces with salt efflorescences - dry cleaning, no guarantee of durability
- Surfaces with mold - treatment with a special antimicrobial product (e.g. ThermoSan)
How to work
