Scratched silicone plaster 2 mm CT174, silicate 25 kg

CERESIT's scratched silicone plaster CT174 combines the advantages of various silicone and silicate coatings. It is designed for laying on concrete substrates, lime-cement coatings, gypsum and cement putties, chipboard and gypsum fiberboard. According to the method of application, the product CERESIT CT 174 belongs to the scratched plasters. It is used as a final coating when applying the Ceresit Ceretherm thermal insulation system.

When decorating architectural ornaments, the use of silicone plaster in darker colors is recommended. CERESIT CT174 is applied on substrates that are strong, clean and dry, free of grease, bitumen, dust and particles that would reduce adhesion. The favorable surfaces for applying silicate-silicone plaster are:

• cement and lime-cement plasters, older than 3 days
• concrete, over 3 months old
• putty reinforced with fiberglass, aged more than 3 days
• gypsum bases for internal application
• Chipboard, gypsum fiberboard and drywall, which are indoors
• indoor paint coatings

Uneven or dirty surfaces must be well prepared for the application of silicate-silicone plaster. They must be smoothed and cleaned of the presence of glue and other binders. The plaster should not be mixed with other materials, and it is recommended to apply it in the temperature range from +5°C to 25°C. It is not recommended to leave the plaster in direct sunlight or heat. It is necessary to protect the CT174 mixture from moisture until it dries completely, avoiding spraying with water on the applied coating. CERESIT plaster can be applied, first with metal, and then smoothed with a plastic trowel. The grain size is 2 mm.
