In some parts of the country it is called Selim, Levushtan, Devisil, Divisil. It tastes and looks like celery. Devesil is an extremely fragrant spice, added to soups, stews, sauces and legumes, meat and potato dishes. Its leaves can be used fresh or dried. The whole plant contains essential oils that give it a pleasant aroma of celery.
Devesil is a perennial plant. Winter hardy for the climate in Bulgaria. It is recommended sowing in May and transplanting in June or July. Prefers moist habitats, grows on almost any type of soil substrate. It prefers sunny terrains, but is a cold-resistant plant. It is suitable for growing in gardens and yards, in various types of business corners, for herbal gardens. It is often grown in pots and balcony boxes at home. Regular planting, at a distance of 50-60 cm. Loves moisture, requires regular watering. Does not tolerate drought.
