In the product group Locks you will find items that are divided into three main types: regular locks, secret locks and service locks. Of course, each type has a different purpose, but they all find application for metal, armored and wooden doors. In addition to these three types of door locks, in the product group you will also find additional door locks, also called Cash Locks, which are installed on entrance doors for even greater security.
Door locks also include window locks , window frame locks , balcony door locks , as well as spare parts for locks such as strikers, plates, rods, etc. All models guarantee secure locking with varying degrees of protection reliability. Some locks are made to allow the upper tongue to be reversed, which allows them to be used for installation on a left or right door.
If you need to choose a metal door for your home or office, it is necessary to distinguish between the different types. Very often people do not think that there may be a difference between a metal door and an armored metal door.
One of the big differences between an armored metal door and a regular metal door is the different degree of burglary resistance. In armored doors, the locking is what makes them so resistant and practically impenetrable. The essence of any armored door is to be strong and impact-resistant. Another important advantage of an armored metal door is its good insulation. It must be designed and manufactured in such a way that it can be a quality noise and heat insulator, which is especially important if you live in an apartment building.
Just like the choice of door, the choice of lock is of great importance for the security of the premises. The models we offer are high-quality production of proven manufacturers and brands in the industry such as METAL, MAUER, SONICO, DECA, KALE KILIT and others.
TYPES OF DOOR LOCKS
Locks can be divided into two types – Basic and Additional. These two types are further divided into several subtypes, with the main door locks being secret, regular and service. The additional ones are – cash, locks for AL and PVC joinery.
- Secret door locks : These are combined with secret locks and are used for entrance doors. This type of lock offers a more secure and sturdy lock.
- Ordinary door locks : These are locked with a regular key and are mainly placed on interior doors. These types of locks do not offer high security.
- Service door locks : These are used on interior doors in wet areas such as bathrooms and toilets. They lock from the inside without the need for a key. They are designed with a special escutcheon.
- Cash register door locks : These are installed for additional protection and do not require a separate locking mechanism. Cash register door locks have the locking mechanism built in.
In our online store in this product group you can find additional door locks , as well as spare parts for locks .
CHOOSING A SUITABLE DOOR LOCK
As with door handles and locks, two factors are of primary importance when choosing - the dimensions of the lock and the type of room where it will be installed.
The main dimensions to consider when choosing a lock are the center-to-center dimensions (this is the distance from the center of the handle hole to the center of the lock hole) and the distance from the faceplate to the centers of the handle and lock holes. Another thing to consider when choosing a lock is its standard (BDS or DIN). The two standards differ only in the height of the thumb. For BDS, the standard is 22mm, and for DIN, it is 23mm.
