Epoxy resin for casting 1kg ARDEX

ARDEX FB is an epoxy resin that provides excellent penetration and high flowability, designed for filling and bonding cracks and joints in various types of flooring and concrete. The resin is mainly used to create bonds between old and new concrete, as well as to bond new layers of screeds to a substrate. ARDEX FB Gießharz is also excellent for filling fine cracks and restoring mechanical properties of surfaces.

Application

• Filling and strengthening cracks and joints in floor coverings, including heated screeds
• Used as a bonding layer between underlays and fresh screed or concrete
• Suitable for interior and exterior applications
• Suitable for structural repair of cement screeds, including heated floors

Basic characteristics

• Consumption: 0.300 kg/sq m depending on the width and depth of the cracks

• Processing period: 90 minutes at temperatures between +18°C and +20°C
• Epoxy resin based on two components - yellow epoxy resin (component F) and colorless hardener (component B)
• Color: Yellow resin with transparent hardening component
• Operating temperature: At a temperature of +18°C to +20°C, processable for about 90 minutes
• Temperature conditions: recommended to be used at temperatures above +5°C

Mechanical strength:

• After 1 day: 25 N/sq.mm
• After 3 days: 30 N/sq.mm
• After 7 days: 35 N/sq.mm
• After 28 days: 35 N/sq.mm

Instructions for use

• Preparation of the mixture: Mix component F and component B in the appropriate ratio. Use a wooden stick to mix to obtain a smooth mixture.
• Apply the mixture to the cracks: For cracks and joints in the base, widen them by cutting and removing dust, then fill them with ARDEX FB Gießharz.
• Use as a bonding layer: Apply ARDEX FB to the substrate to create a bonding pattern between old and new concrete or fresh screed.

Packaging and storage

• Packaging: PVC bucket 1 kg
• Storage: The product should be stored in dry and well-ventilated premises.
• Unopened packages can be stored for up to 1 year from the date of manufacture.
