Description
DAMTEC Multi is an elastic soundproofing membrane made of pressed SBR rubber granulate bonded with polyurethane elastomer. The material is homogeneous, elastic and resistant to long-term mechanical loads, ensuring stable acoustic and mechanical characteristics throughout the entire service life of the structure.
With a bulk density of approximately 1020 kg/m³ and a compressive strength of up to 5000 kPa, the membrane functions as an elastic separation layer that limits the transmission of impact, airborne and structure-borne noise between the building's structural elements.
Application area
DAMTEC Multi is used as an acoustic separation and damping layer in the following construction systems:
- Under cement and floating screeds
- Under final floor coverings (parquet, laminate, ceramic flooring, etc.)
- Behind and between plasterboard or other cladding panels on walls and ceilings
- As a dividing strip under brick walls
- Between double walls to break the acoustic bridge
Main advantages
- Effectively reduces impact and airborne noise in building structures
- Limits the transmission of structure-borne noise and vibrations between structural elements
- Suitable for underfloor heating systems, thanks to its good thermal conductivity and diffusion-open structure
- High acoustic efficiency at minimal thickness, making it suitable for systems with limited structural height
- Long-lasting elasticity and mechanical stability under constant loads
Technical characteristics
- Density: ~1020 kg/m³
- Compressive strength: up to 5000 kPa
