Mapei's Mapetherm AR2 is a one-component cement-based mortar designed for bonding and plastering thermal insulation boards in external thermal insulation systems (ETICS). It is suitable for both internal and external applications.

The product is used for installation of insulation materials such as EPS, XPS, rock wool, cork and others, on substrates such as concrete, screed and brickwork. After mixing with water, it forms a thixotropic mixture, which allows easy application on vertical surfaces without slipping of the boards.

Mapetherm AR2 provides strong adhesion and resistance, being suitable for both bonding and for implementing a reinforcing layer with fiberglass mesh.

Method of application:
