Adhesive-putty mixture 25kg CT 85 CERESIT

Ceresit CT 85 adhesive and putty mixture - 25 kg is a high-quality dry mixture for gluing and puttying expanded polystyrene (Styrofoam) boards. Specially developed for thermal insulation systems, this product provides exceptional resistance, excellent adhesion and long-lasting protection of facades.

Main applications:

• Bonding of expanded polystyrene (EPS) boards.
• Making reinforced putty with fiberglass mesh.
• Improving the thermal insulation of external walls.
• Repair of old and construction of new facades.

Technical Characteristics:

• Base: Cement, mineral compounds and synthetic resins
• Specific weight: 1.43 kg/dm³
• Mixing ratio: 5 - 5.5 l of water per 25 kg of dry mix
• Working time with the ready-made solution: 2.5 - 3 hours
• Working temperature: from +5°C to +30°C
• Temperature resistance: from -30°C to +70°C
• Open time: about 20 minutes
• Adhesion after 28 days: To concrete: > 0.4 MPa ; To polystyrene: > 0.1 MPa (when the polystyrene itself breaks)
• Package: 25 kg

Consumption rate:

• When gluing: 4 - 5 kg/m²
• When plastering: 4 - 5 kg/m²

Instructions for use:

• Gluing on polystyrene boards:

1. Suitable base: solid, dry and clean.
2. For uneven bases - spot bonding method.
3. For flat surfaces - full surface method with a notched trowel.
4. Minimum contact coverage: 40%.

• Making of reinforced Putty:

1. After the glue has hardened, the surface is sanded.
2. Laying a fiberglass mesh with an overlap of 10 cm.
3. Immersing the mesh in the putty and smoothing to a smooth surface.

• Do not lay the mesh directly on polystyrene before puttying!
• Work at temperatures from +5°C to +30°C.
• Fresh stains are cleaned with water; hardened - only mechanically.
• The product contains cement - protect skin and eyes when working
