Description
Carbon Fassadenputz is a new generation high-tech facade plaster, developed for maximum resistance, durability and visual effect. Reinforced with carbon fibers and enriched with photocatalytic properties, it provides a self-cleaning effect, active protection against microorganisms and remarkable weather resistance. The plaster combines exceptional strength and vapor permeability with an elegant decorative finish.
Created for modern energy-efficient facades, Carbon Fassadenputz is the perfect solution for finishing thermal insulation systems, new construction or renovations. Easy to apply and available in a rich color palette, it guarantees not only durability over time, but also a facade that breathes, shines and is maintained almost effortlessly.
Application
Carbon Fassadenputz is a decorative structural plaster designed for outdoor use, with a strong self-cleaning effect and excellent resistance to weathering. It is used as a finishing layer in the following cases:
- Thermal insulation systems, especially from the Carbon series
- Unplastered concrete
- Mortar plasters of groups PII and PIII (DIN V 18550)
- Existing surfaces painted with load-bearing, matt dispersion paints
Substrate preparation
- The substrate must be sound, dry, clean, free of grease, dust and separating agents.
- Load-bearing old coatings are cleaned mechanically or with a high-pressure water jet.
- Non-load-bearing coatings (old paints, varnishes, plasters) are completely removed.
- Mold and mildew are treated with Capatox and the surface is allowed to dry completely.
- Mineral plasters are primed with Caparol Putzgrund after the required drying time (usually 2 weeks).
- Highly absorbent and sandy surfaces are treated with OptiGrund ELF or Dupagrund depending on the condition.
- Concrete surfaces - if necessary, they are cleaned mechanically, then primed according to their absorption.
- Surfaces with dispersion or silicate paints are treated according to the type of coating.
Method of work
- Mixing: The plaster is stirred well before use with a slow-speed mixer (up to 400 rpm) until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
- Priming: Before application, it is mandatory to use a colored primer Caparol Putzgrund, colored in a shade close to the final color.
- The plaster is applied evenly to the thickness of the granulate with a stainless steel trowel.
- It is structured with a plastic or PU spatula: "R" structure - granular
- When spraying, choose a suitable nozzle and a pressure of 0.3-0.4 MPa.
- Work "wet on wet", without interruption, to avoid visible transitions.
- Use the same tools and techniques for structuring the same surface.
- At lower temperatures and high humidity - extend the drying time.
- Working conditions: Temperature: +5°C to +30°C
- Do not work in direct sunlight, strong wind, fog or high humidity
