Polypropylene /PPR/ ball valve with drain with a diameter of 20 mm of the PIPELIFE brand. It is designed for pipes with an outer diameter of 20 mm. The faucet closes the plumbing system and the drain allows it to drain. This is necessary during repair works of the installation, and also prevents its freezing at low temperatures.

The main part in the closing mechanism of the ball valve is a metal sphere, in which a hole is made with the diameter of the respective pipe. Opening and closing is done by turning the handle 90 degrees. Thus, the sphere either stops the water flow with its metal part or passes it through its opening. When releasing the water, the handle should not be rotated too fast and sharply to avoid hydraulic shock. The PPR tap can withstand an operating water temperature of up to 110°С.

The ball valve is very durable both because of its simple construction and because of the polypropylene material from which it is made. Polypropylene is preferred for plumbing because it has very high resistance characteristics and withstands high loads. This material has great flexibility and, compared to polyethylene, is more resistant to mechanical impact, is more heat-resistant, and is also lighter, which greatly facilitates work with it. The polypropylene from which the faucet is made is also characterized by 100% corrosion resistance - it does not rust or rot.
