Wood oil Hardwood oil for external use of the SIKKENS brand in teak color. Mainly intended for garden furniture and outdoor wooden floors. It emphasizes the natural beauty of the wood by penetrating deep into it.
Hardwood oil is an extremely high quality hardwood oil that can be applied to all types of new wood surfaces such as garden furniture, outdoor decks, decks etc.as well as old oiled wood surfaces. The oil penetrates deep into the wood and provides it with excellent protection against atmospheric influences. The product is water-repellent and is particularly suitable for application on all wooden surfaces where the preservation of the natural appearance is required.

Characteristics

• Application: with a brush
• Consumption rate: 15-18 sq.m/l
• Dilution: ready-to-use product. Do not dilute!
• Touch drying time: 4-6 hours. Application of the next layer: 12-24 hours after the previous one.
• Complete drying: 24-72 hours

Preparation

The surfaces must be clean, dry, dust-free and degreased. Wood surfaces that have high levels of natural oils or extracts (eg teak, iroko)must be degreased before subsequent oiling.

Application

Stir well before and during product handling.Apply 1 layer of the oil evenly with a brush. Allow to dry within 5 to 30 minutes (depending on ambient temperature and humidity), then remove product residue that has not penetrated the surface with a cotton cloth. This will prevent the appearance of "shiny" spots on the treated surface. Do not apply at temperatures below 5°C and above 25°C.

Advices

• For maximum durability, apply at least 2 coats of the oil.
• To maintain already treated surfaces: apply at least 1 layer of the oil at least once a year.
• Clean tools immediately after use with thinner.
• Shelf life: At least 5 years in unopened original packaging from the date of manufacture.Already opened packages must be tightly closed! To be stored in cool places! Protect from freezing!
