Epoxy primer 989 automotive 2K 1l HB BODY

HB Body 989 is a two-component epoxy primer designed for professional use in priming metal surfaces requiring high protection against corrosion, chemicals and weathering. It is characterized by exceptional adhesion, density and insulating properties, which make it an ideal choice for both the automotive industry and industrial metal structures.

The product is compatible with a wide range of substrates - from black sheet metal to galvanized and aluminum surfaces, as well as old painted substrates. With its epoxy structure and high resistance, the primer offers an ideal base for subsequent coating with paints, varnishes or coatings for severe conditions.

Substrate preparation - surfaces must be:

• dry, clean and degreased
• free of dust, rust and old flaking coatings
• application on unsanded surfaces, but for maximum adhesion, a light matting is recommended

How to use

• Mixing: 4 parts primer : 1 part hardener HB Body 989 Epoxy Hardener
• Dilution: 20-30% with HB Body 775 Epoxy Thinner
• Application: With a gun with a 1.5-1.8 mm nozzle
• Working temperature: from 10°C to 35°C
• Waiting time between layers: 5-10 minutes
• After hardening: possible sanding and application of finishing paint
