Description
CAPAROL's Buntsteinputz Steingrau mosaic plaster is a decorative coating for interior and exterior use on facade plinths, stairs, corridors, lobbies, door and window frames, etc. The plaster is characterized by high mechanical resistance to impacts and scratches, as well as light resistance. It is not affected by adverse weather conditions. It has high elasticity, diffusion capacity for water vapor and carbon dioxide and is difficult to stain. Buntsteinputz Steingrau is based on pure acrylate.
Additional characteristics:
- Density of the material in a fresh state: 1.8 kg/dm³
- Water absorption according to ONORM B6110: 725 g/m² / 24 h
- Resistance to water vapor diffusion: µ = 150
The surfaces must be clean, free of separating agents, not crumbling, dry and free of substances that prevent adhesion. New plasters are left to dry for 3-4 weeks. When applied in thermal insulation systems, the reinforcement layer must be well hardened and dry.
Buntsteinputz is a ready-to-use product. At high temperatures, the consistency can be changed by adding a little water. Buntsteinputz is applied with a straight trowel, up to the granulation, and smoothed wet on wet in one direction. To avoid the appearance of joints, a sufficient number of workers must be provided, depending on the size of the object, so that the material is applied over the entire surface wet on wet. The surfaces must always be worked in one piece, without interruption. Due to the use of natural materials, slight variations in color may occur. Therefore, only material from the same production batch should be applied to the added surfaces, and materials from different batches can be mixed.
At +20°C and 65% relative humidity, Buntsteinputz dries after about 24 hours. It dries thoroughly and can be re-applied after 2-3 days.
