Bitumen waterproofing P-ro Termostar 3mm GENERAL MEMBRANE

General Membrane's thermo-activated polymer-bitumen membranes TERMOSTAR P 3 mm are an innovative and highly effective solution designed for sites where the use of direct open flame on the substrate is not recommended or is completely prohibited. The composite is made from selected distilled bitumen, modified with thermoplastic elastomer polymers (SBS) and special adhesive additives. This gives the membrane exceptional thermoadhesive (adhesive) properties and phenomenal flexibility at extremely low temperatures (down to -20°C).

The unique technology of Termostar P allows intelligent time and labor savings in two-layer systems. When the second (top) layer of waterproofing is applied with a torch, the heat passes through the material and activates the lower adhesive surface of Termostar P. In this way, the membrane adheres completely and securely to the thermal insulation below, without the risk of melting or igniting the EPS/XPS boards.

The core of the product is reinforced with high-class non-woven polyester, stabilized with fiberglass, which prevents shrinkage or deformation of the roofing covering even under very high thermal loads. The upper surface is protected with a fusible polyethylene foil, and a silicone tape is located in the splice area for perfect overlap and absolute water tightness.

Purpose

• Construction of the first (underlayment/intermediate) waterproofing layer in multi-layer roofing systems
