Steganol bitumen primer 1l VITEX

STEGANOL is a highly effective waterproofing bitumen varnish based on oxidized bitumens and organic solvents. The product dries quickly, has excellent adhesion to various substrates and creates a durable protective film that provides long-lasting protection against moisture, water, diluted acids and alkalis. Thanks to its wide range of applications and easy application, STEGANOL is the preferred choice for professional and amateur repair work in the interior and exterior.
It can be used both for direct waterproofing and as a primer for bitumen membranes, after appropriate dilution.

Application

• Waterproofing of concrete and metal surfaces: roofs, foundations, basement walls
• Protection of tanks, sewage systems and underground facilities
• Primer for laying bitumen waterproofing membranes (diluted with 20% gasoline)

Preparation of the substrate

• The surface must to be dry, smooth and clean
• Remove dust, grease stains, rust and crumbling materials
• For higher adhesion efficiency, preliminary dust removal is recommended

How to use

• Applied cold with a brush, roller or gun
• When used as a primer, dilute up to 20% with gasoline
• For waterproofing use:
• At least two layers are recommended
• Dilute up to 10% with gasoline
• The second layer is applied after the first layer has dried the first
• Do not apply to polystyrene (expanded/extruded)
