Description

White primer for plaster ST-16, produced by CERESIT. It facilitates the application of thin-layer coatings, being used for the treatment and processing of internal and external walls. CERESIT ST-16 is particularly effective when the reinforced layer needs to be primed during the execution of Ceresit Ceretherm facade thermal insulation. It is also recommended for traditional plasters.

Various surfaces can be painted with the white primer, such as plasterboard and gypsum fiber boards, all types of concrete surfaces, plaster and multi-layer coatings. After applying CERESIT ST-16 paint on a base, its hygroscopicity is repeatedly reduced. This guarantees the slower drying of plasters and paints applied subsequently. The CERESIT primer contains small particles that make the painted surface rougher and resistant to mechanical scratches. In this way, adhesion to plasters, paints and putties is improved. It is recommended to apply a paint color that is as close as possible to that of the base. The approximate consumption is 0.2-0.5 l/sq.m.

Uneven or dirty surfaces must be well prepared for the application of the primer. They must be smoothed and cleaned from the presence of glue, as well as other binding substances. CERESIT paint must not be mixed with other materials, and it is recommended to apply it in the temperature range from +5°C to 25°C. It is not desirable to leave the primer under direct sunlight or heat.
