PROTECTA 3 in 1 Tinting Base is a high-quality alkyd coating, combining the action of a rust converter, primer and decorative paint in one product. The formula is a homogeneous suspension of alkyd resins, pigments, solvents and special additives that transform rust into solid, insoluble iron compounds. The paint is applied directly to rust and provides excellent protection against weathering, salt spray, moisture and mechanical wear.

The product is intended for all ferrous metals - railings, fences, doors, metal roofs, tanks, structures and others. It provides a glossy, durable coating with good coverage and easy application. The base is transparent and can be tinted at the customer's request in over 180 colors according to the RAL catalog, which allows excellent adaptation to any project. It is suitable for application with a brush, roller or gun, and dries in 4 hours to the touch and completely in 24 hours.

Surface preparation:

1. Remove crumbling rust, peeling paint and dirt
2. Clean the surface from dust, oils and grease stains (degreasing)
3. For heavily rusted surfaces - mechanical cleaning with a wire brush or grinder is recommended.
4. For new metal surfaces - mandatory degreasing before painting
5. The surface must be clean, dry and free of corrosion residues that may affect adhesion.

How to apply:

1. Stir well before use.
2. Works at temperatures between 5°C and 30°C
3. It is applied to railings, fences, metal roofs, tanks, etc.
4. Apply evenly with a brush, roller or airless spray gun (nozzle 1.6-1.8 mm / 0.011-0.015")
5. Thinning with PROTECTA thinner: up to 5% for brush and roller; up to 12% for spraying
6. 2-3 layers can be applied, the subsequent one - immediately or after drying.
7. Do not apply a wet film thickness above 80 μm (leads to delayed drying and wrinkling)
8. Drying time: 4 hours to touch, 24 hours to fully dry
