Bitumengrundierung zur Abdichtung 20l Steganol

VITEX's teganol is a bituminous waterproofing varnish based on oxidized bitumens and solvents. It dries quickly, has excellent adhesion to concrete and metal surfaces and creates a protective film with high resistance to water, diluted acids and bases. It has excellent, full adhesion to concrete, lightweight concrete, metals, wood, stone, brick and plasterboard surfaces.

Application:

• Waterproofing and protection of concrete and metal surfaces such as roofs, basement walls, foundations, underground sewage systems, tanks (made of concrete or steel).
• It is used as a primer, diluted with 20% gasoline, with the aim of better, reinforced sticking of bituminous waterproofing membranes.

Surface preparation:

• The surfaces must be smooth, dry, free of scale, cleaned of grease, rust and crumbling materials.

Laying:

• It is applied cold with a brush, with a roller or with a gun
• If used as a primer, dilute up to 20% with gasoline
• For waterproofing of concrete surfaces /in order to obtain a film with a higher degree of protection and more durable/it is recommended to apply at least two layers, diluting up to 10% with gasoline. The second layer is applied after the first layer has dried sufficiently.
• STEGANOL should not be applied to polystyrene surfaces (expanded or extruded) as it contains organic solvents.

Cost:

• 0.30-0.35 l /sq.m per layer, depending on the type of surface and its porosity.
