The construction of new buildings and the major renovation of old ones cannot do without breaking and drilling holes. An activity that is not at all pleasant for either the contractors or the affected neighbors, because it is associated with a lot of noise and vibrations. It simply has to be endured, but it is nice if it is shorter. And the shortening of the repair time can be done thanks to the right tools. Breakers are machines used primarily for crushing solid building structures into pieces. With their help, concrete slabs, as well as brick walls, are successfully destroyed.

HOW DOES THE BRUSH WORK?

The main working tool of a breaker is the awl or chisel (chisel), which is placed in a chuck. In addition to demolition, with the help of the chisel, breakers also successfully cope with the removal of parts from the surface of solid objects. A typical example is the removal of tiles from walls and floors.
A characteristic feature of hammer drills is that their chuck does not have a rotating, but only a percussion movement. In them, the force of the blows may be greater than that of hammer drills. This requires, respectively, a more powerful electric motor and a stronger impact mechanism. For this reason, the weight of some machines reaches 30 kg. In most models, the frequency of blows is smoothly regulated, but there are also those with a switch for selecting one of several fixed values, as well as with a single frequency.

WHAT DOES THE EFFICIENT OPERATION OF BRUSHES DEPEND ON?

The effective operation of chisels depends primarily on the correct choice of the tool and its condition. Usually, the operating instructions for chisels give the recommended shapes of awls and chisels, as well as the angles at which they should be periodically sharpened. No less important is their periodic hardening, the procedure for which is also clarified in the instructions. A useful feature of most models is the ability to insert the chisel into the chuck at a different angle (usually 12 or 16 positions), which allows for both comfortable holding of the chisel and removal from the processed material in the desired plane.
