A circular saw is a machine that is mainly used for cutting wood materials. It is used for longitudinal, cross and mixed cutting. The machine copes equally well with logs, boards, various types of wood panels, plywood and plasterboard.
When you have decided to purchase a circular saw, remember to consider the needs you need it for.
TYPES OF CIRCULAR BLADES
Depending on the size and mobility of the machine, circular saws are generally divided into two types: handheld and desktop.
The hand circular saw specializes in precise cutting of wood. Precision is achieved thanks to a guide metal rail. The machine allows cutting to the nearest millimeter in a straight line, right angle or other preset angle.
Table saws are suitable for cross-cutting slats and boards that are joined into frames when laying floor coverings made of parquet, parquet boards or parquet. Table saws are produced in a wide variety of models with different characteristics and sizes. The power of the engine is consistent with the size of the machine, with the most common models having a 150-400 mm blade. When purchasing a table saw, you must consider whether the engine block with the cutting blade should be removable or not. Another important feature for table saws is the method of fastening the workpiece.
CHOOSING A CIRCULAR BLADES IS PARTICULARLY IMPORTANT
When buying a hand-held circular saw, most people are interested in the cutting depth, the engine power, and most of all, the price. They think about the circular saw blade only after it has worn out to such an extent that the machine can barely cut. Few equip their workshop with a set of blades for different cutting modes. This approach is deeply mistaken, because the qualities of the cutting tool largely determine the two main characteristics of the machine - cutting performance and cut cleanliness. Moreover, machines, even from reputable manufacturers, are most often sold with blades for rough and fast cutting of soft wood. They have a small number of teeth, for example 16, and are accordingly cheaper. However, a hand-held circular saw is a machine that is increasingly rarely used for cutting boards made of soft solid wood. Its most common application is for cutting veneered or melamine-coated furniture particle boards, MDF (medium density fiberboard), thick bar tops with a thick Getinax coating, etc. Not to mention that thanks to the new, highly resistant blades, circular saws are increasingly used for cutting plasterboard, various bituminized and organic glass (plexiglass) or plastic corrugated roofing sheets, plastic profiles, even sheet metal and aluminum profiles. These are all materials with high hardness that severely wear out the cutting tool.
Obviously, for each of these applications, the right blade must be selected. The correct blade selection is especially important when the quality of the cut is crucial, for example in furniture manufacturing, where the main operation is the cutting of the boards. A properly selected and well-sharpened blade should cut so that the edge along the cutting line on both sides of the board is even and sharp, without nicks due to chipping off of pieces of the hard and brittle laminate coating.
Therefore, assuming that the circular saw is purchased with a coarse-toothed rough-cutting blade, you should buy at least two more blades – one for precise cutting of furniture boards and a second – a universal one that can cut even the hardest of the listed materials.
WHAT DO WE OFFER?
With us you can find circular saws of both types: handheld and desktop. According to the functions they can perform, they are divided into three classes: non-professional, semi-professional and professional. The powers of the different models vary from 800W to 2200W. There is also great variability in the speed of the machines.
In addition to wood materials, we also offer circular saws for cutting metal, as well as ceramics and granite.
The DEWALT table saw deserves special attention, as it is a super class model in the category. In addition to being able to process logs, prisms, boards, particle boards, plywood, etc., the DEWALT D24000 circular saw is also designed for wet cutting of tiles.
More extras of this professional machine, as well as the other models, you can find in their personal technical data sheets. The circular saws differ in characteristics, but the common thing is that all machines are of excellent quality and functions to be of help to both professionals and amateurs.
In addition to DEWALT, the models are from the brands RAIDER, BOSCH, RTRMAX, SKIL, BLACK & DECKER and many others.
