Polypropylene is preferred for plumbing because it has very high resistance, tensile strength and high load characteristics. This material has a low density, fairly good hardness and exceptional resistance to chemicals. thus it has great flexibility and is more resistant to mechanical impact and more heat-resistant than polyethylene. The temperature range of its operation is from -20 to +110°C. The polypropylene from which the cap is made is also characterized by 100 % corrosion resistance - does not rust or rot.
