The under-roof membranes and foils are used in the system of sloping roof construction, for which Knauf Insulation offers an exclusive solution - the LDS system (Luftdicht-Dämmsystem - hermetic insulation system). This is an energy efficient system that provides maximum comfort in the attic space with significant energy savings.
The advantage of the LDS system is the exceptional thermal protection (combination of stone and glass mineral wool), which is further improved by excellent sealing and wind protection, namely LDS membranes.

Knauf Insulation's Homeseal LDS 35 Fix Plus is a multi-layer reinforced polyolefin vapor barrier. Prevents the penetration of moisture and steam into the thermal insulation, whether used in the construction of a pitched roof, flat roof, vertical walls or ceilings.
Homeseal LDS 35 Fix Plus is used in combination with an external vapor-permeable-waterproof membrane. The combination of a perfect vapor-tight layer under the thermal insulation and a vapor-permeable membrane on the outside prevents the appearance of moisture inside the thermal insulation and condensation, thus ensuring the functionality of the thermal insulation material.
Homeseal LDS 35 Fix Plus has an extremely low level of flammability, which makes this product particularly suitable for use in the construction of sites with high fire safety requirements.

Installation of under-roof membrane LDS 35:

• Homeseal LDS 35 Fix Plus is applied longitudinally or transversely to the beams, directly under the thermal insulation.
• Overlaps in the installation of the foil do not require the use of additional adhesive tape.
