PANCHEV stopper flange nuts are a self-locking nut with a non-metallic insert, which is most often made of polyamide, located at the top of the nut, reducing its inner diameter, which is then deformed by screwing a bolt or screw into the thread. This causes additional compressive forces on the nut, keeping it in a position resistant to vibration.

The lock nut is ideal for applications where vibration or movement can loosen or even remove the nut from the joint. It can also be used to facilitate the sealing of the thread of the bolt against leakage of oil, water, gasoline, paraffin and other liquids. It is also suitable for use in environments with relatively high temperatures, where the locking and securing function can be maintained up to 121°C.
