Arc welding is the most commonly used method for non-detachable joining of various metal structures, as well as for repairing broken or worn metal parts. Two types of devices are used - inverter and transformer. The first type is incomparably lighter and more compact. It is used for activities that require frequent transfer of power from one place to another and especially for welding in places with difficult access such as roofs, balconies and verandas, on high scaffolding or even when the worker has climbed the ladder. Then the inverter welding machine has no alternative.

The inverter generator is very economical. It consumes little electricity, and at idle it needs almost no energy. Another significant advantage is that it works with direct current and not with alternating current, as is the case with ordinary welding transformers. When welding with direct current, a better quality weld is obtained, and with the use of special electrodes, the following can be welded: stainless steel, cast iron, copper, copper alloys and other metals.
