ELMARK air electromagnetic starter for direct start LT 5 Dxx, designed for remote control, direct control and protection of asynchronous motors or other electric consumers. It is a combination of LT 1 Dxx series contactors and LT 2 Exx thermal protection, which are factory wired. It is characterized by the appropriate degree of protection against dust and moisture IP44. When installing the starter, the device must be protected against short circuits by means of switches or disconnectors. Choosing the right protection prevents the unpleasant consequences of engine operation in extreme temperature conditions, ensuring maximum continuous operation. This increases its efficiency and extends the service life of the motor.

The main functions of the air starter are:

• switching on and off AC consumers
• prevents re-arbitrary switching on of the starter in case of momentary voltage drop

The starter protects the motor from overload in the range of the corresponding thermal protection. It is characterized by high reliability of current characteristics. The nominal voltage of the control coil is 220V AC, at 50/60Hz. The connection terminal is screw. The connection of the starter is made with flexible or rigid wires, which are with or without a cable lug. They make the connection to the consumer and have a cross section that is consistent with the power of the engine.

The starter is also characterized by the ability to operate at higher frequencies. It is mounted on a flat surface by means of bolts/screws. It is placed in a vertical position. Plastic is used to make the starter, which is resistant to UV rays and does not give in to combustion. The air starter has a metal housing that has an anti-corrosion coating. The operating temperature is in the range from - 10°C to 60°C. The rated current is 25A.
