Apprentice pliers are forged from carbon steel with a corrosion-resistant nickel-plated coating. The handles are textured, non-slip. The jaw adjustment screw with built-in wrench is used to adjust the size of the jaw hole. The release lever is vinyl coated. The efficient design helps to adjust to the object so that you do not have to hold the pliers with your hands.
